Centrifugal Compressor Tracking Program provides an easy and useful means of tracking centrifugal compressor performance from manufacturer supplied performance curves. After you have entered the performance curves for each compression section you wish to monitor, you can enter performance data from the compression section of interest. The program will determine how the polytropic head and polytropic efficiency, calculated from field performance data, compares with the polytropic head and polytropic efficiency predicted by the performance curve. You will have the option to plot the performance point on the performance curve. You will further have the option to add the performance point to a history file. Each history file can maintain up to 750 records of performance points. Each record contains the required test data, the calculated polytropic head and efficiency, the predicted polytropic head and efficiency from the performance curve, and the relative performance of the compression section.
If you use Centrifugal Compressor Tracking Program, and take periodic performance data, you can follow the comparative performance of each compression section. Scheduled, periodic use of the program will help you recognize performance inefficiencies and analyze performance problems as they occur.
Polytropic head / polytropic efficiency curves are entered into the program for each compression section. If head and efficiency curves are not available, the program will take discharge pressure / power curves, and convert them to polytropic head / polytropic efficiency curves.
